https://youtu.be/IMVPbavty-o Underground blasting & above ground work has begun at Pinyon Plain/Canyon Mine, just miles from the Grand Canyon.  Workers are readying to start mining uranium at the mine. According to the Forest Service, workers are blasting daily though no ore is being moved yet. Once Energy Fuels starts hauling out radioactive ore, they plan to haul 30 tons per day through Northern Arizona to the company’s processing mill 300 miles away.  The Grand Canyon, sacred site Red Butte, precious water, and communities along the haul route are in danger!  As all legal options have failed, we need you to join us to stand up and stop this nuclear catastrophe from permanently poisoning our communities! ADEQ approves uranium mining permit for Pinyon Plain Mine

News
https://www.nhonews.com/news/2022/may/03/adeq-approves-uranium-mining-permit-pinyon-plain-m/ FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Environmentalists are upset that the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) approved an aquifer protection permit April 28 for a uranium mine near Grand Canyon National Park. The mine, formerly Canyon Mine, now called Pinyon Plain Mine, is located about 10 miles south of Grand Canyon’s South Rim in Kaibab National Forest, and is owned by Energy Fuels Inc. Environmentalists are concerned that water from this mine will contaminate the aquifer that the Havasupai use for their water. Environmentalists are considering appealing the decision. The Havasupai Tribe and the public have 30 days to appeal the decision. If they appeal, the first round would be an administrative appeal to a state water board and then the appeal would go to the state courts. Taylor McKinnon, a…

In the midst of this pause, our website with the “.org” was taken. We have rebuilt the old site and are in the process of updating everything here at haulno.com. We are re-initiating our campaign to stop uranium mining at the Grand Canyon and broadening the scope of our organizing to address threats of nuclear colonialism in the Southwest. Building Momentum in Resistance to Grand Canyon Uranium Mining & Transport Photos by Dustin Wero | Instagram: darth_wero In late 2016 Indigenous anti-nuke & sacred sites organizers decided something had to be done to confront the threat of radioactive uranium ore transport from the Grand Canyon to the White Mesa Mill. Haul No! got to work right away researching, creating outreach materials, exploring and advocating policy changes, and planning for direct action to stop the transport.
